Of the 2115 players who participated in the 2009 NFL season, 1962 (92.76%) of those players were born
in an eleven year time span, 1977-1987.
An eleven year time period working for 32 billionaire team owners, most, if not all of them, having already strong
armed employees or suppliers or competitors somewhere along the way.
An eleven year time period enjoying a career in which most of them walk away from the game less than 100% healthy.
There are a lot of jerks playing NFL football, a lot of ego maniacs, a lot of hypocritical showboats, a lot of tattooed
freaks, but in this situation where the risk/reward factor overwhelmingly favors the owners, I am much more likely to side
with the players.
